Supplementary Education children scored 60 + marks

We have been running an evening tuition centre for about 3 years now.All our children study in government schools, which often do not have high educational standards. We wanted to ensure that our children received quality education.

Looking around the community, we realised that the local kids also needed additional coaching to make up for the lack of quality teaching in their schools. So, with the help of Brthya, who were introduced to us by CIOSA because of our membership in that organisation, we started the evening tuition centre for both the orphanage children and the neighbourhood kids. In addition to regular teaching, we also provided moral education.

As a result of the coaching, the children started performing much better in academics, with some of them getting 80+ marks in many subjects. They also became team leaders and assisted the children in our orphanage activities.

Unfourtuntely Brithya couldn't continue their support for more than a year. We are still continuing the programme some how despite lack of funding.

Through Individual Donor support by sponsoring the establishment cost for a month we are able to run the two centers.
