The story behind Mahalakshmi Foundation:

The founders with the oneness of their thought have laid the Foundation to the organization, with one sole intention to serve the destitute and the downtrodden people.

Mrs.S.Kasthuri was born and brought up in a village atmosphere and a single parent child, was gifted the opportunity to study in a Boarding school. This opportunity had provoked thought in her to provide service to such people in the society. To equip herself for such services, she opted to undergo training in Nursing,Alternate medicine which she felt would come in handy for her achievement. Later on actively participated in social services too. She felt a need for a professional skill. So She has successfully completed the post graduate diploma in Social Initiative and Management.

Mr.M.Kulanthaivelu born in middle class family has come across the hardships in others life.His father made some money through which he had the kind gesture to help the needy and started his services by helping them monetarily. Mr.M.Kulanthaivelu got married with Mrs.S.Kasthuri – both with one ideology of helping others materialized into an foundation supporting the uncared in the year 2000 when they registered their organization and started their vital service with medical assistance. Further they started sheltering two destitute children by housing them in their premises. All this started with their own earnings. In the course of time when the incoming of the destitute started increasing they had to go for public contributions. They had started this venture with friends who were willing to help them in such noble cause and gradually the list of donors have developed. Today the organization is well recognized in the vicinity
