The inspiration for Mahalakshmi Foundation has certainly come from the life experiences of its founding members

Mr.
Kulandaivelu. Has done M.D in Acupunture, Diploma in Yoga & Naturopathy, Advanced Pranic Healing and Practised. Mr.M.Kulanthaivelu got married with Mrs.S.Kasthuri
both with one ideology of helping others materialized into an
foundation supporting the uncared in the year 2000 when they
registered their organization and started their vital service with
medical assistance. Further they started sheltering two destitute
children by housing them in their premises. All this started with
their own earnings. In the course of time when the incoming of the
destitute started increasing they had to go for public
contributions. They had started this venture with friends who were
willing to help them in such noble cause and gradually the list of
donors have developed. Today the organization is well recognized
in the vicinity

Mrs. Kasthuri
Has done M.D. in Acupunture and practises, wife of Mr.
Kulandaivelu is a qualified staff Advanced Pranic Healing. She was
the child of a single parent and brought up in a boarding school.
This left an indelible impression in her mind that children
brought up in a safe, secure and loving environment would grow
into confident and responsible citizens of the society. |

Ms.
Sumathi is a Chemical Engineer by profession and hails from a middle class family.
Having an innate interest in working to improve the lives of people in poor communities, she visited many homes for destitute children and supported them in the form of donations.
Five years ago, she had an oppurtinity to meet Mr. Kulandaivelu and Mrs. Kasthuri when they had just started Mahalakshmi Foundation and lost no time in joining them to serve the downtrodden. |
