Priorities fixed for Early Childhood Development The first five years of a childs life are the most crucial part for the healthy development of the Child. These years establish an unshakable foundation that a child will live with for the rest of her or his life. Children need sound nutrition, embracing parental love and nurturing care, appropriate learning and developmental opportunities. In addition, parents are care renders who need support and training to more effectively carry out their role. Mahalakshmi Foundation invests in programs that focuses on early childhood development that fosters to improve childs life skills. Thus Mahalakshmi Foundation exists.

           We care for under privileged children and women by providing them residential care training and education in Avadi, Chennai. The organization founded in the year 2000 has focused its attention to various activities.We are a registered public charitable trust established in the year 2000.

          We run a home for abandoned, destitute and underprivileged children and women that is recognized by the Government of Tamil Nadu. We care for them by providing residential care, training and value based education.

   Bakkia came to us 5 years ago almost a mere skeleton and with edema in the face and the feet, our caretakers thought she would die very soon because she couldn't eat solid food had no bowel control and could hardly walk a step but with our loving care and the generous help of many donors who donated dates syrup, vitamin tablets and sponsored her medical treatment. she is now as healthy a child as any she takes care of herself and plays around in the campus. She has a wonderful memory and has memorized one thousand and two hundred couplets from Thirukural she also sings devotional songs and verses from the Tamil spiritual hymns sivapuranam and Thiru Arutpa. We are prepareing her to participate in the limca records for recitation naturally we are proud. Now she is studing in Second Standard in a Matriculation School.
